Attended by Access For All, families with past connections, neighbours and people with a love of Bendethera.
Organized by National Parks (Narooma) to gather historical data and stories of Bendethera and surrounds with a view to incorporating these values into a Management Plan for the valley.
National Parks staff, Waddell family, Reid family, Hart family, Smith family, Access for All Committee and other interested people (cavers, advisory commmittee, journalists) made up the 40 or so people that attended.
Peter and Robyn Smith of Woola, Terry Hart, Garry Gowan and Peter Kneen were AFA committee members who went to Bendethera via Snowball and Dampier Trig. |
Snow was on the ground along the Cooma Road from about the Berlang camping grounds at some 720 metres but came into its own above 900 metres. |
